Spring Festival was just great!!!
Thanks to the Special Events Team, Maro, Joana, Ilen, Maria Brenda, Maria Gabriela and Natalie,
for making it possible and for the many hours they put in it by fundraising money throughout the year, and planning and organizing the Spring Festival every year.
Special thanks to, Ximena, Ma. Teresa, Jackeline, Helga and Claudia, a group of moms, who collaborated incredibly in the preparations of the Spring Festival;
and to all the children and teachers who helped us with the decorations and preparations for it.
And last but not least, thanks to all the families and staff who attended the festival and that, with their joy and participation made this event as wonderful as ever!

 Dear Parents:
The Special Events Team (S.E.T.) at The Joy of Learning would like to extend a warm welcome to all parents and students for this upcoming year. We are looking forward to working together with all of you in developing a schedule of activities that will make this year both exciting and educational for ALL. We would also like to thank all the parents who collaborated greatly on all of last year's events. We would not have been able to have the success that we did without you.
Last year the S.E.T. organized a calendar of special events such as our famous Back to our Roots Parade, The Spring Festival, a Patinata Venezolana and the Teacher's Appreciation breakfast. We also continued our efforts to help less fortunate children through our program with the Centro Campesino in Homestead. Our ultimate goal is to enhance and diversify our children's learning experiences. We feel confident that our goal has been met, but all of these events were made possible through the many Bake Sales and numerous contributions made by our parents and teachers. We will continue emphasizing the importance of values such as love, kindness, sharing, friendship, and cultural diversity.
We would like to extend an invitation for everyone to join the Special Events Team. Meetings take place every Thursday at 9:30am in the Atelier. Any form of assistance or feedback is always greatly appreciated. Participation in S.E.T. is voluntary although we need members to be committed to give us their minds and time for each meeting. New members are always needed and welcomed!
We would also like to extend an invitation for those of you who would like to assist the S.E.T. in yearly events by taking up the role as a Team Player. This will enable you to collaborate in any event you choose.
On behalf of the entire Special Events Team, we thank you for your time and we look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
Sincerely,
S.E.T. Members and Maria Adelaida Lopez (Art Director/Atelierista)
