Our Mandala Project
Through Yoga, children become aware of their mind, their bodies, their hearts, their senses.
It is with love, kindness and respect that we want to accept and value each other’s uniqueness
and individuality while at the same time we honor and offer our contribution to the whole. It was through a wonderful meditation exercise that the Mandala Project originated. A mandala represents a whole, a universe. In our case we use the Mandala to represent that we are all unique and individual but at the same time we are part of a beautiful whole...

Our Garden Experience
April 2005
The children and parents were joined by Nelson and Sandra Valverde (Andres' dad from Apple Red) on the inauguration of our 2005 Garden. It was a great experience for all us to take care of our garden again. We planted seeds and flowers, the children were interested and enthusiastic about this process. We hope our garden will continue growing and blooming.

Holiday Celebrations
At The Joy of Learning we honored different cultural celebrations! Our children and parents have prepared and enjoy festivities such as Hanukkah, Kwanzza, Christmas and Winter Solstice, and The Piazza is representing them!
We want to thank S.E.T. for such a wonderful job they did decorating the Piazza!
Here at The Joy of Learning, our Christmas Tree Tradition involves our entire school community in building a spectacular “Floridian Tree” using branches from all of the beautiful trees in our area.
Our Floridian Tree trunk represents The Joy of Learning and its branches stand for each of our families...this an homage to our cultural diversity!
Let's continue the tradition since 2001!!!
Bring your branches!
Our 2003 "Floridian Tree"
Special thanks to the families who brought branches for the tree. Once again and because all of you, we could keep our tradition!

Hannukah and Christmas Celebration
On Thursday morning, Dec. 22nd, the Bendayan Family brought the Pre-K children together in the Piazza to demonstrate how their family, of the Jewish faith, celebrates Hanukah.
The children were captivated as Limor, Avis mom, lit the Menorah and explained its significance. She also talked about how they play Draidle for chocolate gold coins.
A great big thank you to Bendayan Family for sharing such a special part of their lives with us!
Santa Claus visited the children at The Joy of Learning on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 23rd. We sent him a special request a few weeks ago and we are so happy that he granted our wish!
Santa visited the children in their classrooms and gave each child a bag with goodies.
He then joined all of the Pre-K children in the Piazza to sing holiday songs and take pictures.
It was absolutely a joy to see the expressions on the children's faces!
Thank you Santa!!!
